I see this time and time again. Someone wants to "test" things out, so they start off with a POS vps. Their pages then take ages to load because they cram as many sites as they can onto the box without understanding the consequences.

Here is the thing. Your indexing rate is directly related to page response times. If your server is timing out, crashed, or taking ages to load pages, you aren't going to get indexed.

You don't get indexed, you don't make money. So, that bargain basement server you bought to save money is actually costing you money because it can't handle the traffic. all generate lots of traffic, a small server can't handle that. It has nothing to do with the software either. You load a vbulletin site that gets 70K hits an hour and see what happens. You can't expect a pinto to preform like a ferrari
